Terms
The terms we work under
These terms cover using Uze — the service that helps a venue recognise its regulars and send their usual to the till. Using Uze means agreeing to what follows. We have kept it plain.
Effective 30 July 2026
01Who provides Uze
Uze is provided by de:volt Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Reach us at hello@getuze.com.
02What Uze does
Uze sits alongside your point of sale. A regular taps a card, scans a QR, or uses a wallet pass; the counter sees who they are and their usual; staff send the order to your existing till in a tap. Uze augments your point of sale. It does not take payments or replace your till.
Parts of the product are offered as a live demo so you can explore the flow with seeded data before you connect anything of your own.
03Your account and your team
You are responsible for your venue’s account: keeping sign-in details safe, and for what the people you give access do. Tell us promptly if you think an account has been used without permission.
04Your responsibilities as a venue
When you run Uze for your regulars, you agree to:
- Be straight with your customers. let them know their information is held in Uze, and only enrol people who agree.
- Handle their data lawfully. you decide what to keep and why; you are the controller of your members’ information, and Uze processes it on your instructions.
- Respect their choices. honour requests to see, correct, or remove information, and keep sensitive details like allergies only with consent.
- Use it fairly. no unlawful use, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, and no using it to contact people who have not agreed to hear from you.
How data is handled is set out in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
05Fees
Pricing is shown on our site. You pay a cent for each regular’s order you send; regulars tapping in, and setting up, cost nothing. You can hold a balance that each order draws from, or be invoiced monthly in Australian dollars. Card hardware, if you choose it, is charged at cost. We will give you notice before any change to pricing.
06Connecting your point of sale
When you connect a point of sale such as Square, you let Uze read your menu, customers, and orders, and send orders back, to provide the service. Your use of that point of sale stays governed by your agreement with them. You can disconnect at any time.
07Availability
We work to keep Uze running and quick, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. From time to time we may need to update, pause, or adjust features to keep the service healthy.
08Who owns what
The Uze name, brand, and software are ours. Your venue’s data — your menu, your customers, your history — stays yours; you grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you. Any feedback you send us, we may use to improve Uze.
09Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Beyond those rights, Uze is provided as is, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10Ending things
You can stop using Uze and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken in a way that is not put right. When an account closes, we handle the data as described in the Privacy policy.
11Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; when we make a material change we will update the effective date above and let you know. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If a part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
